Chromahora is a native iOS day planner for photographers: blue hour, golden hour, weather, cloud cover, UV, moon phase and dark skies, with an outlook that rates each stretch of the day's light.
Its home screen widgets show the next golden or blue hour, the next sunrise or sunset, the moon and tonight's dark sky, and the whole day's light at a glance.
On Apple Watch, the Digital Crown moves through a day's cards: a countdown to the next golden or blue hour, the morning's and evening's skies, and the day's details, with the days either side a swipe away. Complications on the watch face show when the next golden or blue hour starts, or while one is under way, when it ends, and how promising it looks.
Sun and moon times come from sunrise-sunset.org, weather from Apple WeatherKit, and place search and town names from Apple Maps. Live weather needs WeatherKit enabled for the App ID, under both Capabilities and App Services.
Development
./scripts/setup.sh # Install SwiftLint, xcsift, AXe and duoctl, a lint pre-commit hook, and the simulators the scripts run on
./scripts/build.sh # Build for the iOS Simulator, with the watch app it embeds (--watch builds the watch app alone; --device <udid> for an iPhone or iPad)
./scripts/run.sh -b # Build, install, and launch on a reachable iPhone or iPad, else the simulator (-s for the simulator; -d <name or UDID> for a device; -w for the watch app; omit -b to relaunch the last build; pass launch arguments after --)
./scripts/test.sh # Run unit and snapshot tests
./scripts/snapshots.sh verify # Compare snapshots against their baselines (record to update them)
./scripts/lint.sh # Run SwiftLint
./scripts/screenshots.sh -b # Build, then capture App Store screenshots on iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone Duo, iPad Pro 13-inch and Apple Watch Series 12 (46mm) (--dark for dark mode)
